Final preparations are now underway for the ceremony, set to take place on 15th September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. The best of the best in the UK meat industry will be highlighted, recognising winners and finalists across 20 different categories.

This year a list of highly commended products will also be highlighted at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Managing editor and publisher of Meat Management magazine Graham Yandell commented: “We always have category winners and category finalists on the night, but we feel it is also important to recognise the great products that were very much in the running for a place during the judging process, but missed out on a place by a very narrow margin.

“The Meat Management Industry Awards remains the single biggest event of its kind in the sector and after such a challenging period, getting together with friends and colleagues to recognise the very best from our great industry is always a pleasure.”

He continued: “It’s also a pleasure to welcome Paul Zerdin back as host for this year’s ceremony. He was very well received back in 2015 when he entertained us and so, I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that I am looking forward to seeing what he has in store for us all this year.”

Manufacturers, processors, supermarkets, industry suppliers, trade organisations, catering butchers and independent retailers along with people, are recognised across the 2022 programme.
