As part of the team, the post holder will assist in the promotion of beef and lamb.

The role provides an undergraduate student with an opportunity to gain hands on experience within the agri-food sector, working within the Commission’s education, marketing and communications department.

Sarah Toland, LMC education and consumer promotions manager, said: “This is an exciting role in which a student can make meaningful contributions to the marketing, communications and education programme activities which LMC deliver.”

LMC has stated that applications are welcome from undergraduate students who are required to complete a sandwich placement part way through their studies. It said that the role would be suitable for students studying marketing, food science or agri-business related courses.

Toland continued: “The LMC placement programme has been running for almost 10 years with great success recorded to date. While LMC provide mentorship, personal and professional opportunities for development for students, we too benefit from their varied skill sets and fresh perspectives.

“The post is now live on our website and we welcome applications from interested students by 4pm on Tuesday 16th January. It is envisaged that this paid placement will commence in June 2024 and run for 12 months until June 2025.”
