Wholesale sausage supplier Snowbird foods has appointed Helen Swan as commercial director, while a sales development managerial appointment at the company is pending.
Swan will be responsible for overseeing the “proactive ideas team” that forms part of the new product development department and will also be in charge of putting forward an “enhanced marketing programme”.
Following her appointment, she will join joint managing directors Albert McGovern and Philip Paul on a three-person board.
McGovern said: “Helen’s appointment gives us a perfectly balanced senior management team which will drive Snowbird Foods forward on a series of exciting new product and business development adventures.”
Swan joined the company in 2003 and, prior to her new appointment, she served as its national accounts manager.
Snowbird foods was established in 1999, to, according to the company, ‘manufacture fully cooked sausages and other comminuted meat products – a market that did not, at that time exist.’
