A new Friday evening countryside television show sponsored by Welsh Beef is a hit.
“The first episode of the six-part Coast and Country programme on ITV Cymru Wales, which features Welsh Beef promotional messages at the start and end of each programme as well as before and after the advertising break, got off to a brilliant start,” said Laura Dodds, market development manager with Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales.
“Coast and Country had a peak audience of close to 300,000 with a 20 per cent share of viewers. Outside of the soaps, that made it the most watched programme in Wales.”
Miss Dodds said she was delighted by the audience response to the programme, and that she hoped that awareness and sales of Welsh Beef would increase as a result.
The programme is presented by Andrew Price who introduces a series of compelling countryside stories from a different location each week, but covering the length and breadth of Wales.
Joining him on the Coast and Country team are familiar ITV Wales faces, including Hannah Thomas, Carl Edwards, Ruth Wignall and Nicola Hendy.
The next episode is on ITV Wales on Friday, November 22nd at 8pm.
