Pigs Tomorrow conference 2023 to unite pork supply chain

In May the Pigs Tomorrow conference will bring together expert speakers from the UK and abroad to discuss the key topics affecting the pig sector. They will be joined by producers and representatives from across the pork supply chain.

The organisers are not publicly revealing the date but asking people to register their interest here.

Agenda

Day one will offer an International Outlook. Speakers will cover topics ranging from global overviews to the reformation of the pork supply chain. This will be followed by a drinks reception and gala dinner.

Day two is all about innovation. A session on enhancing our brand will focus on international consumer trends with Professor David Hughes. This will be followed by a discussion on rising to the challenge and the future of pig farming with the ‘Young Guns’ – a group of up-and-coming industry innovators. The conference will close with an explanation of the Pathway grants by Stewart Houston and Gemma Thwaites, Members of Defra’s Pig Core Group.

The International Outlook (day one) is chargeable, however levy payers can register their interest in attending day one, and a sponsor may be willing to host them.

The Innovation Conference (day two) is funded by AHDB for levy payers, making attendance free.

Further details can be found at the Pigs Tomorrow website.
