Sandy has worked in the speciality food industry for over 30 years. He has set up several successful and award winning food retail businesses including Chatsworth Farm Shop in Derbyshire and Ludlow Food Centre in Shropshire.

In his new role Sandy will be promoting the ethos of the Guild and its commitment to selling the very best quality produce. He will also be using his wealth of food retail experience to help members drive their businesses forward.

Sandy said: “I first became aware of the Q Guild when at Chatsworth Farm Shop and actually joined as the focus on provenance and quality at the Guild matched all the values that the Farm Shop stood for. I viewed my membership as a badge of honour and was extremely proud to be a member.
“Over 20 years later I’m delighted to be involved with the organisation once more and drawing on my years of experience to promote the Guild and its members forward.”

Sandy will be encouraging member engagement through attendance at regional meetings and identifying and approaching like-minded butchers who would be great additions to the Guild.

Q Guild chairman, Brindon Addy, said: “Sandy’s wealth of experience and passion for the industry are second to none and will be a fantastic asset to the Guild and its members. We’re really pleased to have him on board and believe he’ll be a great source of knowledge and inspiration to members.”
