The much-anticipated Young Manager of the Year award is now open for nominations.

MM Awards Young Manager of the Year (1)

It’s one of the many important accolades presented as part of the annual Meat Industry Awards ceremony and will again be one of the highlights at this year’s ceremony in Birmingham on 3rd September.

Candidates should be aged 32 years or under, working in manufacturing, processing, wholesaling, retailing, procurement, foodservice or in the supplier sector. Judges are looking for an outstanding young manager who has a bright future in the business.

Editor of Meat Management magazine Gwen Mostyn commented: “It’s nice to reward people and encourage those who really deserve to be recognised, and this high-profile award has meant so much to those nominated in the past. But it’s only possible with the help of businesses and associates, who can nominate worthy candidates.

“I would like to ask our readers to spare just a moment to nominate someone working in the meat industry for the Young Manager of the Year Awards 2026.

“We all know that it’s people who make the difference in business, so please nominate someone for the 2026 award by contacting us soon.”

Nominations are accepted from anyone working in the UK and Irish meat sectors who wish to put forward an employee, colleague or an associate. Self-nomination is also allowed.

Go to the online nomination form and choose category number nine to nominate your choice.
