BDCI’s Festival Dinner 2020 cancelled
The Butchers’ and Drovers Charitable Institution (BDCI) has cancelled its annual Festival Chairman’s Dinner for 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, the organisation said: “The Trustees of the BDCI have been keeping a watching brief on the development and progress of the Covid-19 pandemic and has sadly reached the decision to cancel the 2020 Festival Dinner due to be held in the Autumn.
“This decision has not been taken lightly but based on the uncertainty of when the country will be free to revert to a normal social life. We consider it better to announce our decision as soon as possible. Further details about next year’s dinner will be announced in due course.
“We also take this opportunity to remind industry that we are here to help those who need assistance during this difficult time.”
