Helm changes at Pilgrim’s UK lamb

Pilgrim’s UK Lamb has made changes to its leadership structure following the departure of managing director, Jim Gaffney and sales director, Graham Penny.

Meat Management understands that Dale Williams, general manager at Llanidloes and Robin Rolls, plant manager at Andover will now report directly to Pilgrim’s managing director – Fresh, Lee Rampling.

Marcus O’Sullivan, formerly with the OSI Group will step into the new role of commercial director – Lamb, reporting directly to chief commercial officer, Rachel Griffiths.

In a communications brief Ivan Siqueira, president of Pilgrim’s UK said: “Having successfuly completed the transfer of lamb operations from Bury St Edmunds to Andover, we are now at the stage where we are looking to accelerate both operational and commercial plans for our lamb business. These changes will help to facilitate this while bringing site leadership structures in line with the rest of the Pilgrim’s UK business.”

He added: “I would like to thank Jim and Graham for their contributions in integrating lamb operations into the wider business and helping launch Pilgrim’s UK Lamb following the acquisition of the former Randall Parker Foods business.”
