Hilton Foods and Minerva Foods partnership to include Australian lamb

Hilton Foods has announced that it is expanding its partnership with Minerva Foods into the large and growing global market for Australian lamb.

The agreement between Minerva Foods Australia and Hilton Food Solutions is a further step forward in the collaboration between the two businesses, which sees the Brazilian beef processor enter into an exclusive supply agreement in the UK with Hilton Food Group.

In July 2022, the two businesses forged an agreement to supply fresh beef into Hilton Foods’ foodservice and catering business.

Hilton Food Solutions said this new agreement will give it the opportunity to source high quality, sustainably produced and highly traceable Australian lamb products.

Taken together, Hilton Foods and Minerva Foods serve customers in over 100 countries globally and this agreement is another strategic alignment to seed growth opportunities for both businesses.

Hilton Food Solutions managing director, Peter Hounsome, said: “This agreement brings two very strong food partners closer together and expands our footprint in the growing global market for high quality Australian lamb. The supply agreement we signed last year with Minerva for our foodservice and catering business has been extremely productive and we are looking forward to building on our collaboration to enter new global markets and expand our retail partnerships.”

Iain Mars, chief executive officer, Minerva Foods Australia, added: “We’ve been delighted with the progress we have made in Australia over the past six months and this agreement is another step forward in our growth ambitions. Hilton Foods has an extremely strong reputation globally as a food and supply chain partner, and we’re delighted to have the chance to work together in distributing high quality Australian lamb. Our two business have a wealth of knowledge and expertise, and we’re looking forward to creating new opportunities for global growth.”
