Brazilian busness, JBS is to purchase chicken giant, Moy Park in a $1.5billion deal, giving the world’s biggest meat company a significant presence in Europe.

Moy Park has been owned by Marfrig since 2008 and employs more than 8,000 staff in Craigavon, Ballymena and Dungannon.

The move also sees JBS diversifying from its core beef market.
