Food manufacturer 2 Sisters has appointed Gill Pendergrast as its new Sainsbury’s retail director, reporting to commercial director at the company’s UK Poultry commercial team, Frank Robinson.
Pendergrast is the company’s newest recruit to its UK Poultry’s commercial team and has previously served as commercial controller and head of commercial at Food to Go and Meal Solutions.She has also held senior sales roles with Cranswick, Uniq and Glanbia.
She noted: “I’m excited by the new role and looking forward to working with the team at Holburn. I’m absolutely passionate about doing the right thing and keeping the customer at the heart of everything that we do.”
Frank Robinson, who is responsible for the department, added: “Gill will be a great boost to our commercial team. She has the experience to build a winning team and the focus to drive the category forward.”
2 Sisters has recently announced a 5.2% year-on-year increase on total sales for the second quarter of 2016-17, compared with the same period last year.
Total sales at the business reached £833 million for the 13 weeks to 28th January, compared to £792 million the year before.
