A 25% stake in meat supplier Dovecote Park has been acquired by red meat processor ABP Food Group.

The board of directors of the Extra Detail group of companies, which own Dovecote Park Ltd, confirmed a change in the ultimate ownership of Benoni Holding Corporation, which holds a minority shareholding in the group.
Dovecote Park, a Yorkshire-based beef processor, produces a range of beef, veal and venison products for its buyers and specialises in dry ageing.
Established in 1997, the business supplies to the retail, fine dining and foodservice sectors across the UK, including businesses such as Waitrose, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Burger King and Wentbridge House.
Benoni Holding Corporation was bought by ABP Food Group. Previously, the business was owned by former Dovecote Park director Amanda Buitelaar, and records on Companies House show that Buitelaar stepped down from her role in April 2026.
Benoni to support the group’s direction
A spokesperson for Dovecote Park stated: “The acquisition of Benoni represents a long-term strategic investment for the ABP Group. They have taken a seat on the board of directors of Extra Detail Ltd and its subsidiary companies.
“Benoni, as a minority shareholder, will be supportive of the group’s strategic direction, whilst maintaining the policy of acknowledging the current board and management team‘s independent ability and authority to grow and develop the Dovecote Park business.”
ABP was contacted by Meat Management but declined to comment.
