ABP Food Group has announced a newly appointed chief operating officer and managing director – Finbarr McDonnell and Martin Kane.
McDonnell is currently the managing director of ABP Ireland and Poland, and will now be taking on the wider group role of chief operating officer, across all of ABP’s four divisions.
The four divisions include Beef, Proteins, Renewables and Pet Food.
McDonnell will be assuming the role vacated by Frank Stephenson, who was appointed as group chief executive last October.
With McDonnell taking on a new position, it leaves room for replacement in his previous role, room which will be filled by Martin Kane, it has been revealed.
Kane has been with ABP for 21 years in various roles, but for the past 10 years has been finance director for ABP Ireland and Poland.
There, he worked closely with the management teams on all aspects of the business, including a number of sites.
The appointments of these senior management roles will be effective as of April this year.
