Sofina Foods has announced the appointment of Ash Amirahmadi as its new Chief Executive Officer, Sofina Foods Europe commencing 8th August 2023.
Ash will join Sofina Foods Europe from Arla UK, the UK’s biggest dairy cooperative, where he has been managing director since 2018.
He takes over from Michael Latifi, who has been CEO for Sofina Foods Europe since 2021. Michael remains the Ffounder, chairman and chief executive officer of Sofina Foods Inc.
Ash is a leading figure in the UK’s food, drink and farming sectors and is the current chair of the boards of both Dairy UK and the IGD. Ash was awarded an OBE for services to the dairy industry in the 2023 New Year’s Honours.
Sofina Foods Europe, a subsidiary of Sofina Foods Inc., is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of primary and further processed protein products for both retail and foodservice customers via its Karro, Young’s Seafood and Greenland Seafood subsidiaries and has operations across the UK, Ireland, France and Germany.
