Dawson’s Rental’s held an open day yesterday (26th June) at its Sutton-in-Ashfield premises, just outside Nottingham. The open day was a chance for new and existing customers to meet with the Dawson’s Rental’s team, as well as giving them the opportunity to take a closer look at some of its temperature control solutions.
Dawson’s provides the meat and food industry with a range of temperature control solutions. Although on the surface its products may look like just boxes, products on display at the open day were a Euro 6 truck, an inflatable Chill Store, vans, sweepers, material handling equipment, and Dawson’s latest addition to its portfolio, a camper van – anything but just boxes.
Dawson’s units can be linked to existing infrastructure or sited standalone to create additional production space. Managing director of Dawson’s, Rod Benham explained: “The food sector, as we all know, is under pressure, and if people can’t grow, but they need to produce more, then they can do so by extending what they already have.”
Rod commented on the day: “Although the footfall was less than we had hoped for it was still a good day as the most common feedback from visitors on leaving was ‘I didn’t know you did that!’ a phrase which summed the reason for the day, as most people we contact know of us but few appreciate how we are capable of working with them. Anybody who couldn’t make it today is welcome at any time as our door is always open to visitors”.
