Dunbia has launched its first ever Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report in partnership with Business in the Community.
Committed to operating in a sustainable and responsible way Dunbia has embarked on a new CSR strategy under the direction of CSR Director David Farrell and the report outlines the company’s commitment to the planet, its people, the marketplace and its community which has been welcomed by a variety of stakeholders.
At the launch Claire Gordon (BITC Director) said: “It is always a great encouragement to see companies like Dunbia drive forward with a comprehensive CSR strategy which really shows their underlying commitment to operating with integrity. We were pleased to support Dunbia and encouraged that they used the BITC model which focuses on four key areas crucial to all successful businesses.”
David Farrell, Dunbia Group CSR Director commented: “CSR is integral to our business operations and we have aligned our approach with our overall business strategy. We strive to make a positive contribution to our people, our environment, our customers and our communities and this report is fundamental in communicating our efforts and outlining our future commitments. Last year we donated £119,695 to charitable causes, gifted over 100 hours to not-for-profit organisations and from 2011 we have invested £3.25m in environmental projects across the Dunbia Group saving 740 tonnes of carbon, reducing water usage by 55.5% and diverting over 100 tonnes of waste from landfill.”
