Farm shop Edenmoor, which was previously Piper’s Farm, has announced a seven-figure investment in a 25,000 sq ft purpose-built production facility in Cullompton, Devon.

Edenmoor said the move and name change reflect both the scale of its operations and a long-term commitment to building a resilient, high-integrity supply chain that can meet changing consumer expectations. Edenmoor projects to move the business from c.£7.5 million revenue today to more than £10 million over the next few years, with the infrastructure in place to support growth potentially up to £20 million over time.

The investment will aim to create a platform that allows the business to grow without compromising its values or standards, while increasing capacity and improving customer experience.
The facility enables nearly four times the carcase intake capacity of previous operations, including “significant investment” in specialist dry-ageing facilities, and reportedly supports 50 full-time jobs locally, with 95% of staff from the local area.
Edenmoor also revealed plans to introduce a butchery apprenticeship scheme, opening up skilled career pathways and helping preserve traditional craft skills.
The site will also deliver a reduction in internal food miles by consolidating previously split operations into one site, eliminating multiple daily vehicle movements, alongside improved energy efficiency through modern equipment and new cold-store infrastructure, reducing electricity use versus older facilities.

Managing director Harry Radford commented: “The investment in Edenmoor marks the start of our next phase of growth. This is very much a ‘doubling down’ on quality, provenance and operational discipline. The new facility allows the business to scale and allows expansion of the product range, including more value-added and marinated products, responding directly to customer demand.
“The name change of Edenmoor better reflects who we are today: a collective of producers farming with care for the land, its animals and the people we feed. While our name is changing, our principles are not.”
