The Institute of Meat (IoM) will once again sponsor the main competition arena at the Meatup exhibition which takes place at ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on 24th and 25th May 2017.
The trade show, which is the only event of its kind dedicated to the UK meat industry, will feature top class competitions including the NFMFT Premier Young Butcher of the Year as well as the Federation’s Premier Meat Products Competition, evaluating sausages, ready meals, BBQ ideas, meal solutions, kitchen ready products, stuffed joints and burgers.
The chief executive of the IOM Keith Fisher was enthusiastic about prospects for Meatup 2017: “We are very pleased to be involved with this important show and looking forward to joining with the industry at the new modern venue located in Milton Keynes next May. This is the fourth show that we have supported over an eight year period and have been involved from the very start. Meatup is a great way to network and meet a wide range of people from the trade all under one roof.
“The competitions bring the show alive and it’s also good to hear that Neil Hunt will once again be master of ceremonies at Meatup 2017, which really helps the dynamic of the Competition Arena and its entertainment value to visitors. I am sure we are in for two excellent days at the Meatup show and we are all really looking forward to it.”
Show director Graham Yandell added: “We are grateful to the IOM for its valued support and indeed all other sponsors who are backing the 2017 presentation. We are going for a fresh new feel for the next show and will be working very hard to deliver a first class experience for visitors, exhibitors and sponsors. We will also be announcing our free seminar programme soon and I can promise everyone some excellent content."
