Former CEO of the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Jason Feeney CBE has joined trade body, AIMS, as a non-executive director.

Feeney brings an extensive leadership experience to AIMS, having previously served as the chief executive officer of the Food Standards Agency.

His tenure at the FSA saw him oversee significant reforms in food safety, public health, and consumer protection. AIMS said his background in leading large, complex organisations, as well as his deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, will be an incredible asset as AIMS continues its mission to represent and protect the UK’s meat industry.

Feeney’s career spans over 30 years, with a wealth of experience driving innovation, strategic direction, and Government relations. As a CBE recipient for his public service and leadership, he has built strong networks with key stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. His experience working with governments and regulatory bodies will provide AIMS with strategic guidance necessary to enhance the industry’s representation at the highest levels.

In his role at AIMS, Feeney will provide expert advice, support the organisation’s Government relations efforts, and drive innovation within the meat sector. It is anticipated that his leadership will further enhance AIMS’ ability to advocate for the industry, ensuring that it remains a prominent and influential voice in shaping policy and addressing the challenges the sector faces.
