Kilmarnock based Brownings the Bakers' 'famous' Killie Pie has been voted Scotland’s Best Savoury Product two years in a row.
Brownings signature dish the 'Killie Pie' retained its title as 'Scotland’s Best Savoury Product' beating off stiff competition at the 123rd Scottish Bakers Annual Conference held in the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow.
The Killie Pie is fast becoming an established favourite and is much loved throughout Scotland with many loyal fans; 3,000 of which follow the Killie Pie Facebook page. This is the third time this year that Managing Director John Gall has proudly accepted an award for the Killie Pie; earlier in the year it earned 'The Best Pie in Scottish Football' title and 'Scotland’s Best Handheld Steak Pie'.
The award winning pie is now so much in demand from its fans that a Mail Order service has been launched to satisfy those customers who cannot reach a local Brownings store or Scottish stockists Aldi or Spar.
“I am delighted that our signature dish, the Killie Pie, has won the Scottish Bakers Best Savoury Product title for the second year in a row. I would like to thank our loyal customers for voting for it and of course all of my hardworking staff; each and every member of the Brownings the Bakers team continues to make it the success that it is today.”
