• Deadline: 19th May to enter.• Competition Judging: 24th May.• Open to all retail butchers and small manufacturers.

One of Britain’s most important and prestigious annual competitions is scheduled to take place next week on 24th May.

The National Federation of Meat & Food Traders (NFMFT) is reminding all butchers that there is still time to enter the National Meat Products Competition that will take place at Meatup, located in ArenaMK, Milton Keynes. The popular competition will be a central feature of this year’s national trade exhibition for the industry.

Winners of the 22 categories, as well as the overall supreme champions, can expect a major boost to business, so entering can mean the chance of a profitable payoff and great PR for those who take the prizes.

Open to members and non-members of the Federation, the event will showcase the talents and creativity of butchers and producers nationwide, with categories ranging from sausages, bacon, burgers and charcuterie through to pasties, pies, scotch eggs and ready meals.
