The 2025 UK Supreme Sausage Champion will be selected from the various category winners.

Libby Goodwin, the event organiser, commented: “Judges and our home economists are looking forward to several days of tasting and testing at the test kitchens based at MK College, Milton Keynes, later in August. All entries are to be supplied raw, and we cook and judge everything fresh.

“Butchers, retailers, manufacturers and foodservice across the industry have been nominating their products, and the winners will be exclusively revealed at the UK Sausage Week awards lunch on Monday 27th October at Butchers’ Hall in London, including the overall UK Supreme Sausage Champion.”

Gwen Mostyn, editor of Meat Management magazine, added: “UK Sausage Week presents a fantastic opportunity to get consumers thinking about and buying more sausages at an important time of year, including Halloween and the fast-approaching Bonfire Night shortly afterwards.

“Award-winning products and finalists often see substantially increased interest following the announcement of the competition results and it is really good to see the range and diversity of products that have been nominated so far this year.”

Competition head judge Keith Fisher, of the Institute of Meat, commented: “It really is such an enjoyable few days when we are judging for UK Sausage Week. We all know how important sausages are to the overall meat industry and UK Sausage Week is promoted to give the market a boost at the right time.”

UK Sausage Week will run from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, with competition winners announced at an Awards lunch staged at Butchers’ Hall London on Monday 27th October.
