In a boost to its local economy, Northern Irish meat processor, Linden Foods is to create new production and managerial positions at its Dungannon plant in Country Tyrone.
The company is supported by Invest NI, which has funded £520,000 of the monies. Chairman of Linden Foods, Trevor Lockhart, told the BBC: "The support from Invest NI through its jobs fund will allow us to create the workforce we need to meet the demand for our range of new and innovative products among export customers and enable us to cement our leading position within the meat processing industry."
Linden recently won a multi-million pound contract with Morrisons supermarkets and the £5million pound expansion is the outcome. The business was reported to still be looking to fill skilled butchery positions with around 150 of the vacancies already taken up, mostly on the production line.
