In recognition of his services to the pig industry, Digby Scott, has been awarded Member of the British Empire in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.Digby is well known for creating Pig World magazine and the National Pig Association website. “Many people will, quite rightly, comment on how Digby deserves this recognition. But only a handful of people who have had the privilege of working closely with him over many years will know just how much it is deserved. He has worked on the pig industry’s behalf tirelessly and unremittingly – to the extent that it appears like about 15 years without a single minute’s break. And all whilst running an extremely successful publication at the same time’ said NPA Chairman Richard Longthorp.”
BPEX Chairman and NPA Board member Stewart Houston said “I was delighted to hear that Digby has been awarded the MBE and in the Queen's Jubilee year too. I'd also like to add my personal thanks to him for the support and advice that he has given to me over the years and wish Ann and Digby well for the happy day when they go to Buckingham Palace to receive the award (maybe Ann should have one too!).”
