In the company of celebrity chef Michel Roux Jr, the 2020 Food Management Today Industry Awards ceremony brought together top names in the food industry – and saw the meat sector triumph in 9 of the 16 awards categories.
Industry and guests attended a successful Awards Luncheon at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, to network and celebrate with the winning companies, products and organisations, despite attendance being affected by the impact of Covid 19.
Winners of the awards, as voted for by the readers of Meat Management’s sister magazine’ Food Management Today and judged by industry experts, included Cranswick plc, which was voted Food Manufacturer of the Year and equipment giant Marel which won Best Machinery / Equipment Supplier of the Year.
In the product categories, Soanes Poultry won Best Poultry Product for Yorkshire Grain Fed Chicken, Linden Foods won Best Red Meat Product for its Marks & Spencer The Daddy of All Steaks and Dunbia received Best Frozen Product for Lidl Deluxe French Trimmed Lamb Rack with a Redcurrant & Ruby Port Sauce. Best New Product Development went to Peter’s Food Service for Nurish Chicken Tikka Filled Bakes.
Kalsec Europe won Best Ingredients Supplier, while the Food Retailer of the Year accolade went to Marks & Spencer.
