The Minister of State for Agriculture David Heath MP has confirmed he will be visiting the NEC based MEATUP show on July 2nd.
“2013 has presented many challenges to the UK industry and a forum of this type becomes increasingly important where people can communicate and work together for the good of the industry”.
The Minister will be touring the show and use the opportunity to meet a range of participants as well as taking in the show competition arena to review the craft competitions being staged this year. In particular, the Premier Young Butcher Competition on the first morning of MEATUP will feature a range of top quality displays from leading young professionals who will be able to show the Minister the skills needed to maximise modern butchery techniques.
