Morrisons has appointed Tom Richardson as category director for meat.
Richardson will join Morrisons during the summer where he will have responsibility for growing Morrisons fresh meat category, sourcing and new product development.
He was previously the meat category manager at Coles - Australia’s second largest supermarket group. Richardson also spent 10 years at Waitrose in a variety of roles, including senior meat buyer and agricultural manager.
David Potts, chief executive of Morrisons said of the Richardson’s appointment: “He will play an important role in improving our fresh meat offering, making it even better for customers who rightly expect the best quality at keen prices.”
