An increase in the volume of meat products being produced at the Morrisons Wharton Bridge facility in Winsford means 200 new jobs at the Cheshire processing plant.
Group manufacturing director at Morrisons, Mark Harrison told The Winsford Guardian: “We are delighted at the success of the Winsford site over the last two years, which has now given us the chance to expand and offer lots of new opportunities to join Morrisons.”
The Winsford site, which Morrisons took over from Vion Foods in 2012, will offer new jobs ranging from managerial roles, engineering and production.
Harrison also added: “This is a really exciting time to be joining Morrisons as our manufacturing sites are hugely important to the business and we are continuing to invest in them.”
