Moy Park, a leading UK food manufacturer, has been awarded the Environmental Award at the recent KFC Supplier Awards, recognising the company’s leadership in sustainability and environmental performance.
The company has achieved zero waste to landfill status across all 14 of its manufacturing sites and its agricultural base, and has also invested significant capital in renewable biomass technology across its farming base.
Moy Park is the first UK poultry company to be recognised in the UK’s Corporate Responsibility Index – the UK’s leading voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility.
“Our sustainability agenda focuses not just on the environment, but also on customers, suppliers, workplace and the community,” Ian Hyland, director of sales – foodservice at Moy Park, said. “We’re delighted that KFC has rewarded Moy Park’s commitment to superior environmental performance with this accolade.”
