As the nights draw in and temperatures drop, hearty warming dishes come back into favour, EBLEX has produced a new promotional kit designed to help butchers boost sales of beef and lamb this autumn.
The kit, which is currently being dispatched to members of EBLEX’s Quality Standard Mark Scheme, contains three separate elements: ‘Slowly Does It’, ‘Halloween’ and ‘Discover Lamb Shoulder.’
‘Slowly Does It’ features a collection of slow-cook braising and casseroling recipe ideas for Quality Standard beef and lamb and the kit contents include:
• 1 x A3 poster promoting the nutritional benefits of red meat
• 2 x A2 posters featuring slow-cook QSM beef and lamb dishes – ‘Brisket of Beef with Brown Ale’ and ‘Lamb Tagine with Pomegranate’
• 100 x double sided A5 recipe cards featuring the Brisket of Beef and Lamb Tagine recipes
• Plus 80 copies of the latest ‘Simply’ recipe book to give away to customers
• An A2 poster promoting lamb shoulder, with a competition which gives customers the chance to win a free roasting tin
• Plus 100 copies of an A5 14 page recipe booklet, with a whole host of delicious, easy-to-prepare family meal ideas using lamb shoulder
• A Halloween ‘Fright Night’ A2 poster is also included, accompanied by 100 copies of a 4 page A5 recipe leaflet, with ideas for fun, spooky beef and lamb recipes such as ‘Bogeyman Beef Burgers.’
Mike Whittemore, EBLEX trade team marketing manager, said: “Customers love new recipes ideas and this bumper kit of point-of-sale material is packed full of them, so it’s bound to help boost sales. Free promotional material is just one of many benefits of becoming a member of the Quality Standard Mark Scheme, so if you haven’t signed up yet, then you’re missing out!"
