Three new processors have signed up to the code of practice for the purchase of cattle agreed by the BMPA and the NFU, following its launch on 17th February.
The three new processors are:
- Linden Foods
- Pickstock Telford Ltd
- WD Meats
They join ABP Food Group, Dovecote Park Limited, Kepak Group, Randall Parker Foods, 2 Sisters Food Group and Woodheads/Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC, who all signed up to the code at launch.
The code has two main features: it commits individual processor signatories to being open and clear about their own company’s terms and conditions of trading, and signatories undertake to give 12 weeks’ notice of changes to these terms and conditions.
