Current challenges and opportunities in the beef and lamb sector will be put in the spotlight at a series of free open meetings being held by EBLEX in the north of England.
The evening events, which will take place in Wetherby, Penrith, Clitheroe and Hexham in late November and early December, will give levy payers the chance to find out more about the work EBLEX is doing to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the English beef and lamb sector.
On the agenda will be a presentation on EBLEX export work both in Europe and further afield, an overview of the work done by the trade development team and an insight into EBLEX’s consumer marketing activity. The evening will also include a market update and outlook, as well as a butchery demonstration highlighting the work EBLEX is doing to add value to the carcase.
EBLEX senior northern regional manager Clive Brown said: “While most levy payers know something about the work EBLEX is doing, it’s unlikely that they’re aware of the breadth of work that we undertake on behalf of the industry.
“We hope as many people as possible will make the most of this free invitation to come along and find out more about our activity and meet with EBLEX staff and board members.”
The open meetings will take place at the following venues:
