The impact of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) on the livestock sector’s global competitiveness will be in the spotlight at next month’s AHDB Outlook Conference.
The event, taking place on 9th February in Westminster, London, will be hosted by AHDB Market Intelligence (MI) and the three livestock sectors of the AHDB, including AHDB Beef and Lamb and AHDB Pork.
The conference will also feature a keynote presentation on the Referendum on UK membership of the EU by Professor Alan Matthews, of Trinity College, Dublin.
Stephen Howarth, AHDB MI market specialist manager and outlook programme organiser, said: “Our livestock sectors compete in a global market and the keynote presentations at our Outlook Conference will provide an interesting insight into the impact of FTAs and UK membership of the EU.
“I would urge anyone with an interest in the trends and issues affecting our livestock industries to register to attend as soon as possible to avoid disappointment,” she added.
Delegates will also have the chance to discuss market opportunities and issues during a question and answer session with industry experts. Separate breakout sessions will follow, providing an overview of the market outlook specific to each sector.
