Scandi Standard has entered into an agreement to acquire the Glenhaven Foods business, with the frozen poultry producer set to become part of its Irish business.

Once the acquisition moves ahead, Glenhaven Foods will become part of Scandi Standard’s Irish business alongside Manor Farm.
Founded by David and Evanne Cahill in Co. Wicklow in 1986, Glenhaven has grown from a family business into a significant producer of frozen, value-added poultry products, supplying retail, foodservice and QSR customers across Ireland and the UK.
The company operates from two manufacturing facilities in Arklow, with the business maintaining partnerships with a range of customers across Ireland and the UK.
Scandi Standard offers chilled, frozen and ready-to-eat chicken products to consumers in more than 40 countries. Its domestic markets are Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Ireland, and its export markets are primarily the rest of Europe and Asia.

Barry Cahill, CEO and co-owner of Glenhaven Foods, said: “Glenhaven has always been about people, quality and long-term relationships. We’re incredibly proud of everything the business has achieved over the past 40 years and believe Scandi Standard and Manor Farm are the right partners to build on that legacy.
“As Glenhaven joins the Scandi Standard family, its 40-year story becomes part of Manor Farm’s remarkable 251-year heritage, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter. We look forward to seeing Glenhaven continue to grow and thrive for many years to come.”
