Simon Harrison has been appointed chief executive officer of global food business Princes Group.
Harrison previously served as deputy managing director at Princes in June 2023, and the business said his work has led to "record trading performance" across the last year.
Princes manufactures a range of products, including tinned meats, pastes and ready meals. It operates across seven manufacturing sites in and around the UK, with its headquarters stationed in Liverpool.
Simon Harrison said: "I’m delighted to have been appointed as CEO to lead this fantastic business on its next phase of growth and to capitalise on the significant opportunities available to us, whilst continuing our unique mission of ‘proudly offering great tasting choices for everyone without costing the earth’.”
“Under Simon’s tenure as deputy managing director, our business has gained significant momentum," said Kazuhito Suematsu, chairman of Princes Group. "He will continue to accelerate this growth as CEO. Having overseen major investment into princes infrastructure in recent years, Cameron Mackintosh will be leaving the business, and we wish him well for the future."
Prior to joining Princes, Harrison assumed the role of vice president of commercial development at Coca-Cola European Partners. He will bring more than 20 years of experience across brand and trade marketing to his new role at Princes.
