Eight celebrities will use Welsh lamb and Welsh beef to show off their cookery skills on S4C’s reality television programme Cariad@Iaith.Derek Brockway, Tom Shanklin, Steve Speirs, Nicola Reynolads, Chris Corcoran, Caroline Sheen, Rebecca Keatley and Jamie Baulch have signed up for the television show where over the course of a week, contestants attempt to learn the Welsh language and participate in a number of outdoor challenges.
The celebrities participated in pizza decorating and a burger and faggot making competition with Elwen Roberts, consumer executive at Hybu Cig Cymru (HCC).Roberts commented: “A variety of other ingredients from Wales were used, and the celebs were very keen to impress me with their cookery skills! Presenter Wynne Evans reportedly enjoyed the Welsh lamb faggots, and the stars made a huge effort to speak Welsh. It was a lot of fun!“We were very excited to be involved in the filming of such a popular series and it was an excellent opportunity to promote Welsh lamb and Welsh beef to a large consumer audience.”Cariad@Iaith will air on S4C from 14th June and will run every night until 20th June when the series winner will be announced.
