Andrew Rook of J C Rook & Sons supplied the sausages for the occasion, having been named UK Supreme Sausage Champion at the UK Sausage Week awards lunch earlier this week.

Master of The Worshipful Company of Butchers, Geoff Gillo, commented: “We were delighted to celebrate UK Sausage Week during our November court lunch. The sausage canapés were a great success and everyone joined in with the fun.

“Andrew Rook supplied his Battle of Britain Sausages for the canapes and J C Rook & Sons are currently donating 50p for every lb sold to the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel le Ferne overlooking the Dover Straits and the English Channel. We were pleased to play a small part in promoting this worthy cause.”

UK Sausage Week continues until 5th November – Bonfire Night. For further information on the campaign visit www.uksausageweek.com
