Sykes House Farm has recalled its Smiths Beef & Caramelised Onion Burgers due to the product being incorrectly labelled.
The recall specifically refers to Sykes House Farm’s Smiths Beef & Caramelised Onion Burgers, 454g, with a ‘use-by’ date of 25th July 2016. The product should have been dated 25th June 2016.
The company has displayed product recall notices in stores selling the product.
In its statement Sykes House Farm said: “Due to the wrong expiry date being printed on the label, the Smiths Beef & Caramelised Onion Burgers 454g with a use-by date of 25th July 2016 are being recalled.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standards of product safety and quality.”
Customers who have purchased the product should not eat it and should contact the Sykes House Farm customer relations team on 0800-0686 727 for a full refund.
No other Smith products or other use-by dates are known to be affected by this recall.
