Tesco has recently launched seven new own-label brands in the produce, meat and poultry categories, which, according to the multiple retailer, will offer “great quality and better prices.”
The company says the new brands will be competitively priced and will in many cases either match or beat competitor prices.
Pork products will be branded under the name Woodside Farms, chicken products under Willow Farms, and beef products under the name Boswell Farms.
Further to the meat and poultry brands, new brands for vegetables, imported fruit, berries, apples and pears have been developed under the titles Redmere Farms, Suntrail Farms and Rosedene Farms respectively.
It is understood that the brand names are fictional farms, however, in a statement Tesco said the products come from “a range of trusted suppliers.”
The brands include 76 new lines, which are split equally across fresh produce, meat and poultry.
