Walter Smith assistant manager, Chris Riley and Peter Rushforth of Swans Farm Shop, in Mold, Flintshire went toe to toe against top European apprentices in the International Young Butcher Competition (IYBC) last week, in Utrecht, Holland.
The two day event held in conjunction with Slavakto saw the UK representatives compete against teams from Austria, France, Germany, Holland and Switzerland in six different categories.
The IYBC is recognised as the leading competition for 18 to 24 year old European butchery apprentices.
The title of International Young Butcher 2015 went to Lucas Beyle from France, whilst Switzerland took away the team trophy.
