The long-established national sausage competition, when judges will decide winners and finalists, has seen some of the UK’s biggest meat product manufacturers and supermarkets enter their best bangers for evaluation, alongside a host of independent butchers.
The final deadline for nominating products free of charge across a variety of categories is now fast approaching, and all entries must be nominated by Friday 7th August, with delivery of sausage products to be made to The Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University, on Tuesday 18th August.
After nomination, full details of how and where to send sausage products are supplied to entrants in advance.

- UK Sausage Week - Supreme UK Champion
The UK Sausage Week celebrations will kick off at a lunch event on Monday 26th October at Butchers’ Hall in London, where winners of the national competition will be announced and presentations made.
The awards presentations culminate in the crowning of a new UK Supreme Sausage Champion, given to a product deemed by the industry judging panel to be exceptional.
UK Sausage Week is the national initiative celebrating one of the public’s favourite mealtime and BBQ staples, and will run throughout the last week of October.
The week-long programme, from Monday 26th October to Sunday 1st November, will see Britain’s butchers’ shops, supermarkets, caterers and manufacturers highlight the fantastic range of sausages available.
