Representatives of Wales’ exporting companies for lamb met earlier this week at the home of the British Ambassador in Copenhagen, Denmark to discuss potential business deals with Danish importers and retailers.
The event was organised by Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) in association with the British Embassy and UK Trade and Investment.
Laura Pickup, HCC’s market development manager said: “We see Denmark as an important new market for Welsh Lamb and we are keen to see our exports to the country grow.
“That’s why Denmark is the focus of a major new marketing campaign, co-funded by the European Commission, to promote the qualities that led Welsh Lamb to be awarded PGI status.”
