Welsh food producers are showcasing their products at the global trade food and drink fair Anuga 2023, with the aim of securing new buyers and export deals.
Anuga 2023 takes place in Cologne, Germany from 7th-11th October 2023. It's hosting around 7,400 exhibitors from over 100 countries, helping them to expand their global reach.
Participating Welsh producers supported by Welsh Government include Trailheads Fine Foods Ltd - Get Jerky, Edwards, The Welsh Butcher, The Lobster Pot, South Caernarfon Creameries, Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat Promotion Wales (HCC) and Snowdonia Cheese Company.
The trade fair will provide the producers with the opportunity to connect with distributors, retailers and industry professionals from around the world, increasing Welsh exports and strengthening the reputation of the country's food products.
Welsh Government Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd, Lesley Griffiths said: “Anuga 2023 provides our fantastic Welsh food and drink businesses with a great opportunity to showcase their high-quality products to buyers from around the world.
“Our food and drink exports are at record levels, and events such as this are important in helping see people abroad enjoy food and drink from Wales.
“I am proud of the hard work, commitment and desire of Welsh businesses and I wish everyone travelling to Germany for Anuga 2023 a very successful event.”

Edwards, The Welsh Butcher is attending Anuga for the first time as part of the Welsh Government’s export support programme for food and drink companies in Wales. The butcher's shop is looking not only to meet international trade customers, but also to demonstrate how as a "premium brand they can add value".
