Butchery and food processing equipment supplier Windsor Food Machinery has appointed George Holliday as managing director to guide the business into a “new era”.

Windsor Food Machinery owners Tim and Karen Stuart announced that Holliday had joined the team of over 20 full-time staff at the company earlier this year and brings with him 30 years experience in the food sector, with previous roles at Brake Brothers Foodservice and DB Foods, where he worked for 22 years.
Supplying food processing and packing equiment to the retail, manufacturing and hospitality sectors for more than 30 years, Windsor Food Machinery has partnerships with brands such as Hendelman, Thompson and Reich owned by Fortifi.

In a statement, the company said that the appointment will see Holliday guide the food processing and packaging equipment supplier into a “new era”. Tim Stuart, founder of Windsor Food Machinery, has a professional background in meat wholesaling and commented: “George and I knew each other from being Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Butchers. We were ready to invest in expanding our parts support, engineering capability and customer experience, and wanted someone with fresh expertise to lead our ambitions.”
Fellow director Karen Stuart added: “It has been really exciting to welcome George, see the business through his eyes and hear his ideas for its immediate and long-term future growth. He knows the industry from so many different angles and has immediately understood the potential of Windsor Food Machinery.”
Speaking about his new role at the company, Holliday stated: “It feels fantastic to bring everything I have learned to a new setting of close-knit people who not only provide a fantastic service, but really care about their customers and performance.
“Our plan is for Windsor Food Machinery to go beyond being a supplier of machinery and maintenance, and provide a productive, valuable relationship that is a constant source of support, knowledge and expertise to food businesses.”
