EBLEX Quality Standard Mark (QSM) Scheme member butchers will soon receive the new ‘Winter’ promotional kit to help drive sales of quality beef and lamb in store throughout the season.
The latest point-of-sale (POS) kit is packed with useful marketing materials that have been especially designed to showcase a range of beef and lamb cuts to customers throughout the winter, helping butchers to optimise carcase value and versatility, and helping shoppers find consistently high-quality beef and lamb.
The ‘Winter’ kit is divided into three sections, targeted at key stages of the season.
The first section is branded ‘Slowly Does It Winter Essentials’ and has been developed to help independent retailers promote a range of added value beef and lamb cuts that are ideal for slow cooking and use in casseroles and stews.
The second section is the ‘Festive Fayre’ kit, which contains beef and lamb ideas for centrepieces, canapés, and Christmas and New Year celebrations.
It also contains a Christmas window banner, ‘Christmas Carving’ leaflets to hand out to customers and a useful Christmas opening times poster, to clearly inform customers of adjusted festive opening hours.
The third section is branded ‘New Year, New Start, Lighter Options’ and was developed to help independent retailers inspire their customers with lighter beef and lamb meal options after the indulgent Christmas season. The kit contains ideas such as thin cut steaks and mini roast cuts.
Each of the kits includes eye catching promotional materials such as: posters, recipe leaflets and cabinet branding to display in-store. Useful cutting specifications for each cut featured are also included in the bumper kit.

The kit contains eye-catching and appealing promotional material which, when displayed prominently, will help to create an inviting atmosphere in-store.
“We’ve also included a leaflet within the kit, featuring useful tips and advice on how to make the most of our marketing material and the key times to use it.”
A ‘Winter/Christmas’ themed kit will also be distributed to non-QSM butchers and non-QSM farm shops that have registered to receive marketing support from EBLEX.
