Organisers report that those working across the British and Irish meat industry are nominating their candidates for the 2024 Women In Meat Industry Awards in large numbers ahead of the forthcoming deadline on Monday 1st July.
The annual Awards is the biggest and most important initiative which highlights the significant contribution women in all sectors make across the meat industry.
From craft butchery to wholesaling, a range of subsectors are highlighted within the awards programme to ensure that talent is recognised. A full list of this year’s awards categories can be found here.
Winners of the 2024 Women In Meat Industry Awards will take to the stage at the 5-star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Friday 29th November.
TV broadcaster and tennis star Annabel Croft, who was a popular finalist in the 2023 season of Strictly Come Dancing, will host the black-tie ceremony and present awards to category winners.
Editor of Meat Management magazine, Joanna Thomson, said: “This awards initiative is a real highlight in the meat industry calendar, and we are incredibly proud to provide women in the industry with an awards programme that celebrates the vitally important contributions that they make to the sector.
“The awards are driven by reader nominations and votes, so it is vital that you get your nominations in before the deadline. This is your final opportunity - I would encourage everyone to take it!”
