‘Today’s the day’ as the MM Meat Industry Awards return
Tonight, the British meat industry’s finest will attend a black-tie awards ceremony and dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, hosted by football legend Kevin Keegan.
The UK’s biggest meat industry awards ceremony is back as an in-person event. Last year, the Awards took place online for the first time as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic, and so organisers are determined to make this evening a grand return to in-person events.
Recognising the best of the best in the UK meat industry, the Meat Management Industry Awards will celebrate the winners and finalists across 20 different categories.
Among the prestigious accolades to be presented, the Excellence Award, Young Manager of the Year and Britain’s Best Butcher’s Shop honour those who have made an outstanding contribution to their field.
Jane Connolly, editor of Meat Management, said: “I’m very excited about tonight’s celebration, as it will be my first Meat Management awards event and it is guaranteed to be a fantastic evening. Having the opportunity to meet in-person the amazing people who make this industry so special, while celebrating all they’ve achieved during a uniquely tough year, is a thrilling prospect.
