Women In Meat Industry Awards finalists confirmed
The voting process for this year’s Women In Meat Industry Awards has now been completed, with all votes counted and checked and finalists confirmed. The winner of each category will be announced at the glittering 5-star ceremony taking place on Friday evening 17th November at a new venue, the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
Over 11,000 votes were received this year and there were more candidates shortlisted than ever before after a record number of nominations. Finalists are based on voting numbers, some of the larger industry sectors will have more finalists to reflect voting volumes and the size of the industry sector, and also where some candidates tied for votes.

Joanna Thomson, editor of Meat Management magazine, who organise and stage the annual awards commented: “We are all so excited about the way people have responded. The annual Women In Meat Industry Awards continues to go from strength to strength and the ceremony, including dinner, will be another brilliant occasion. It is a very special landmark event each year when great people and exceptional talent is recognised.”
Event organiser Sharon Yandell added: “We are really looking forward to the ceremony and dinner on 17th November. The event offers a timely opportunity to stay over in London for those who want to, and to enjoy the Christmas festivities and shopping. However, the main thing is to recognise and highlight the amazing people we have right across the meat industry. A very unique occasion we are all looking forward to.”
Royal correspondent, broadcaster and journalist Jennie Bond will host the awards ceremony on 17th November. To read an exclusive interview with Jennie, click here.
