A survey has revealed that a bacon sandwich is the number one food Brits would choose to eat every day if they felt they could do so.

Online butcher, Great British Meat Company, questioned 2,000 UK adults what food they would like to eat on a daily basis through an online survey.
The survey asked all respondents ‘what would you eat every day? (If there was no consequences)’.
Millennials (those born between 1982 and 2004) were shown to be those most likely to eat a bacon butty, and an overall score of 18.7% of people chose the bacon sandwich as a favourite food.
Great British Meat Company director, Sam Wass, said: “We’re a nation of bacon lovers. It’s great to hear it’s still Britain’s favourite choice.
“Bacon has had its detractors over the last few years, but so long as it is eaten in moderation, you can’t keep a good ham down.”
Pizza and pasta also make up the top three, and the results show that fish and chips was the least popular choice.
Wass concluded: “Nothing comes close to the pleasure of a bacon sandwich.
“It’s a British institution and the ultimate comfort food. The only question now is just whether you have it with red or brown sauce?”
